Many if them are not available due to Covid which cannot be helped. The fees were high but we liked the options. We have been living here for about 15 months. So, as we were leaving, you could smell that someone was getting a perm and it smells bad.
There was one problem though, they had a beauty shop, not right exactly in the memory care area, but in the hallway. They have a nice courtyard area, which is important, for people to be able to enjoy a little bit of the outdoors. They were getting a meal served to them and it looked fine. We saw the memory care too, and I think she would be well taken care of there even though their rooms were a little smaller. They also are requiring all of their staff to be vaccinated. She wouldn't be able to do that with her memory problems, but they're a very nice place.
When you're in the assisted living area, the one-room available was nice but was located upstairs, and my mother would have to operate an elevator to get to the dining hall. I have the assurance that they would take very good care of my mother there. The people that we toured with were very professional and very good at their jobs. Touchmark at Meadow Lake Village was a very nice place.
